Cleaning the bathtub is one of those chores that usually involves a quick once over with a spray and a wipe. But every now and then the bath needs a thorough scrub to restore it to it's former glory, especially if there's a build up of stubborn scum.
While the words 'deep clean' are sometimes code for a difficult and time consuming task, a TikTok user has shared a simple method for deep cleaning the bath.
Aussie mum Carolina Mccauley's system isn't just surprisingly easy, it's also affordable with the products that likely to already be in your cupboard.
The Perth local starts by soaking towels in vinegar before wrapping them around the tap handles and faucet.
Next it's time to tackle the drain, which can become smelly or clogged over time. Mccauley's tip for this is also one that is commonly used for the kitchen sink as well.
"Add baking soda to the drain, followed by vinegar," instructs the video caption.
Once you've done that step, keep the baking soda handy because you'll also be sprinkling it over the entire bath. Then drizzle dish soap over the surface and scrub with a soft sponge.
The final step is to rinse the surface and you're done.
