Dishwashing tablets and magic sponges have become two of the most popular new cleaning products in Australia – transforming everything from oven doors to cars and washing machines.
But what happens when you combine the two?
Sharing on a popular page, one Australian mum revealed how a clever 2-in-1 hack using a dishwashing tablet and magic sponge will transform your dirty shower screen like never before.

To start, you cut a shallow hole out of a magic sponge – available at supermarkets, Bunnings and even Kmart – that is the same size as a dishwashing tablet.
Then slot the dishwashing tablet into the magic sponge and use it to clean your shower screen with a little water.
The results? Amazing.
“Thank you to the lady that suggested putting the dishwashing tablet into the magic sponge,” wrote one fan on the Mums Who Clean Facebook page.
“It worked brilliantly for the shower glass!!”
Added another: “Tried it! Omg! So good!”
Said a third: “Now this is a game-changer. Works well on oven doors too!”
Added one more: “My shower’s never looked better, whoever thought of this is a genius.”
What impressed many was the fact that there was no heavy scratching or damage to the glass shower screen.
This hack eliminated the need to use a scourer.
As always, it’s recommended that you always wear rubber gloves when cleaning with dishwashing tablets.
Meanwhile another Aussie mum has revealed her hack for overhauling dirty oven doors using a little-known Coles and Woolworths buy.
Sharing on a popular Facebook page, mum Janine shared before and after photos to show how she transformed her appliance using Orange Power Sticky Spot and Goo Remover.
The product, available at leading supermarkets, is typically used to remove stickers from doors, walls and windows, as well as sticky residue around the home.
But Janine said it’s also a miracle buy for a range of cleaning jobs - including her oven door.
“Before and after, thanks to Orange Power,” she wrote on the Mums Who Clean page.
“I just used a damp blue scourer (the non-scratch kind) applied directly on to it.
“No waiting, scrubbed off then wiped it clean with clean water a few times.
“And one bottle lasts me about a week. But I use it for everything.”
Fellow cleaning fans were blown away by the hack.
“This is a game changer,” said one.
Added another: “Wow - I have some of this stuff I bought it to remove stickers. Never realised I could do this with it!”
Said one more: “Best product ever! Also the best for getting off marker on walls.”
