An Australian mum has shared her “quick and easy” technique for cleaning your oven door – and all you need is a very unlikely tool from Bunnings.
Posting on a popular Facebook page, mum Judie revealed how she uses a paint scraper – which cost as little as $2 at Bunnings – with multi-purpose cleaning spray to have her oven doors looking crystal clear.

Sharing a video of the super simple technique, Judie said it only took her a ‘few seconds’ to transform the super grimy oven.
“This is not my oven, it’s my son’s rental and [the previous tenant] was a keen cooker,” says Judie in the video, which she posted to the Mums Who Clean Facebook page.
“Just letting you know how easy this is to get off with a scraper.
“Literally taken me a few seconds to go over the other side. And you can see how quick and easy it is to get it all off. Very easy.”
Other members of the page agreed with Judie’s technique – with several agreeing it’s their number one way to clean their oven doors.

“Best ever, so easy. Can’t believe I used to do the other methods before being told about this trick,” said one.
Added another: “Nice, quick and easy.”
Said a third: “Forget using all sorts of chemicals. It takes about 2 minutes with a flat blade like this.”
It was suggested that you should buy a paint scraper suitable for windows, so it doesn’t damage your oven door glass.
